Can Intramural Myoma Inhibit Vaginal Birth And Can It Be Removed?
I m 29 years old,54 kls and 5 in height.. hi, i m 27 weeks and 6day pregnant now, they found out in my previous ultrasound that i have an interior intramural myoma with subserous component measuring 3.88x3.31x2.45 cm located at lower uterine segment 3.38 cm from os and with a High Blood pressure,Can i deliver my child in normal method?and what is the possible ways to remove this myoma..
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the intramural fibroid in the lower uterine segment might cause obstruction to descent of fetus sometimes. And in case of high blood pressure the fetus might be in distress sometimes which might increase with delayed labour. But nothing is confirmatory because if your treating doctor thinks that you can be allowed for normal vaginal delivery then it is ok.And the operation for fibroids during the pregnancy might be risky for pregnancy. If benefits outweigh risks then it might be preferred. Dont worry. Best regards...dr.srilatha
