Can Kofarest Help Reduce The Phlegm In Babies?

My 11 months old son is suffering from severe cough and cold. we have been advised to give him kofarest-pd(3 times a day.3.5ml)and allegra suspension(twice a day 3.5ml). are there any side effects to the same and will the dosage of kofarest help in reducing the flum formation in baby.

Kofarest is decongestant and allegra antihistaminic. They will defintely help in symptomatic treatment of cough and cold.
Majority of respiratory infection are caused by viral infection and are self limiting.
