Can Missing On The Last Depo Shot Cause Bleeding Post Intercourse?

I m a 46 yr old woman who was on Depo injection for 12 and a half yrs and decided not to take my last shot which was due in early July.Now i find that i;m bleeding a lot after intercourse and it may last up to 4 days..this has never happened before. What could possibly be the problem? Thank you.

yes you are right. it is because of withdrawal bleeding. so do not worry.
for precautionary basis go for pap smear.
