good morning sir, i am pregnant. We found on 5th week its seems two separate eggs(left side and right side) implant in uterus on scanning. could u please tell me if separate eggs implants means there is possibility of one male and one girl baby and is there any medical treatment to abort one implant egg from two eggs implanted without affecting another one(now and future).let me confirm me if abort one egg and leave one in uterus and that is become healthy and in future it may be any disorder to that baby ?.please beg u sir ..........
Hi... Ya two separate eggs can develop simultaneously as in twin pregnancy. You need to wait for some time as often the fetus with some genetic problem is naturally aborted in that case it will not cause any effect on other.
Any type of combination of gender can be possible.
As such you cant do things that will help to abort one baby and survival of other.
Otherwise you can try selective fetal reduction in which first you should undergo scan to find out any baby having any problem, if so that baby is injected some medicines directly in heart, if no abnormality then randomly one fetus is selected but this has a acceptable complication of nearly 1-2% of total abortion even with experienced hands.
