Hello, i have ostoe arthritis in left hip and am due to have hip replacement soon. My bone on bone symptoms of pain and stiffness doesnt seem to be the only part of my body that aches. I ache everywhere and today i can hardly walk, just getting up out of a chair to get something requires all my strength walking with my stick, the circulation in my legs is aweful, i have swollen ankles and calves and each step especially on the left leg is an effort.
Why do i feel that my arthritis of my left hip is not the only problem, i sonetimes wonder if im ever going to walk normally again even after the op.
Can osteo in a joint cause you to feel pain and stiffness in other parts of the body like lower back, shoulders and even my hands feel like they are losing their full strength grip at times.
I was taking cerebrex but they were not really effective, i take an iberprofen and coedine when i am really stiff.
Are there any other tests i should have done to rule out other medical issues that may be occuring in my body. I am 51 years of age and i am teaching young kids to swim for 3 hours most days and i never feel pain or stiffness in the water. I worry future and want to be assured that my worn out hip is what is the cause of all these other symptoms, from louise
