Respected sir , I have taken treatment kemotherapy for seminoma, after that i have taken a treatment for HCV by injection of pegasys 180. Now I am suffring from mild Hepatosplenomegaly with the stiffness of joints & weakness. Plz suggest me . with regards Arjun Singh 70kg,age 50,hight 167cm,
Hepatosplenomegaly is not a known side effect of Injection Pegasys 180. However, temporary side effects of joint stiffness and feeling of weakness may be there with inj. Pegasys and even with chemotherapy also, which may go by themselves with time. However, hepatosplenomegaly may be there due to primary etiology of HCV which may have a deteriorating effect on liver and consequently on spleen also.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
