Can Red, Ruptured Blisters In Vagina Be Related To Yeast Infection?

I am diabetic and have had a severe chronic yeast infection that has worsened over the past weeks. I now have three blister type sores that have ruptured and have become red and infected appearing. Is this just a normal yeast infection or something else entirely?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The red and ruptured blisters in the vagina are more likely to be due to a bacterial infection rather than a yeast infection. Presence of diabetes complicates the infection further. Regular dressing and oral antibiotics are needed.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
