Can Staying Long In Cold Water Cause Seizures?

My son had two brain surgeries when he was a child. He is now 30 years old and a year ago started suffering from seizures. He is on Keppra to control the seizures. Today he spent two hours in lake water installing a dock. When coming out of the water he suffered a seizure. Could the effect of the cold water on his system have caused the seizure?

Answer : Yes. Cold Water has been known to precipitate a seizure. He has to avoid this in future. Also make sure that he takes the drugs as prescribed
