Can Swallowing An Aluminium Nail Crack The Ribcage?
Went to ER because I accidentally swallowed 3 1 in aluminum nails. I have passed all but 1 so. Hoping to see last one to go. The Dr spotted a crack in right side rib rib from cat scan. The cough continues to be an issue on left side when coughing or try to lay on left side. Is it possible that I might have cracked my left one.

Your food pipe is with in your chest cavity and it is not in contact with ribs. So, I won’t cause rib fracture. It might be due to something else like an old fracture.
