Cause Of Terminal Ileum Thickening? Have Gastritis. Abdominal CT Scan Showed Inflamed Gallbladder
what causes thickening of the terminal ileum? I do not have Chron's Disease. Had an endoscopy and colonscopy ... .showed that I had gastritis and luteals growing through the villi in the duodenum. Celiac, Chrone's, IBS all ruled out. Had an abdominal / pelvic CT scan, which showed inflamed gallbladder with gallstones, plus other stuff unrelated to GI ... plus the thickening of the terminal ileum. Curious what leads to this thickening, and what long term consequences may be. Is there anything that I need to be doing to resolve the issue?
Hi,
Gall bladder with stones is a common finding in many people. More than one stone requires surgical opinion. If you say gall bladder thickening is present, this is inflammatory reaction and you must consult a surgeon immediately.
Coming to terminal ileal wall thickening, that also may be due to inflammation. There are many inflammatory diseaes affecting the terminal ileum. I would like to go through your CT scan report for better suggestions.
Thanks
