Child. Cut Lip And Reddish Bruise Mark On Nose, Increased Irritability After Fall. Other Activities Normal. Concerning?

My 14 month old fell off a two step step stool & ended up with a cut lip and a reddish bruise mark on the top of his nose. This was Sunday, he is eating fine, drinking fine, sleeping fine, & babbling the same...my concerned is that he is more irritable than usual which seemed to start just after the fall. Should I be concerned there is damage his nose?

Hi,
Child is irritable either due to the injury at lip which produces pain and makes the child irritable He will be fine by few days.

However if irritability persists he need to be shown to neurologist to rule out any damage to brain which also causes these symptoms.Requires CT scan and EEG if symptoms persists.

Hope this will help you
