Child. On And Off Shivers, Cough, Runny Nose. History Of Having Fever For Short Time. Advice
Good morning Dr Kondekar, my son is 3 years & 9 months, since Sunday he seems to have the shivers on and off. What can be the cause of this? On Sunday during the night he came to our bed, was cold and shortly after he had a fever of 38.4 which came down rather quickly. During the day he was fine, but his teacher also advised that he is shivering (though I did not notice this when picking him up). He is currently caughing and runny nose!, can this be due to flu? What is causing the shivers? Looking forward to your kind response.
Dear user your baby is suffering from fever , cough and running nose with on and off shivering ... there are few possibilities for these . he may have upper respiratory infection or allergic which is common now a days associated with change in climate. you should consult with your family doctor and get examination whether there is inflammation of throat also . than start medication accordingly as advised by doctor .
it may be possibility of malaria as shivering is there . for that u need to go for blood examination . but as per me chances of URI is more . its always better to consult with your family doctor .
