Child Had T&A, Had Bilateral Tube Placement. Found Large Lymph Node, If Not Taken, Died Of Sepsis. Suggestion?

My 2 year old nephew had a T&A with bilateral tube placement today. The doc told his mother that she found a large lymph node, "the largest she's ever seen". She admitted my nephew and told the parents he would be in the hospital for several days. She said it was a good thing they did the surgery when they did because this node could have ruptured and the boy could have died from sepsis. What are your thoughts on this?

Hi, it appears that the boy had an intra abdominal lymph gland which has an inflamation to the point of rupture, you have prevented it by getting him for treatment in time.
If it bursts the pus spreads in the abdomen, and leads to the peritonitis, which is a very critical condition even for adults to manage,as a whole it says you are lucky. I hope you got my point. Thank you.
