Child Had Fever, Red Rashes On Chest, Itching. Rubbed Lacto Calamine
Hi .... My son who is 6 year old day before yesterday had fever ..,, yesterday he did not have any fever but was warm .... At night I saw small red rashes on his chest , back & arm ..,, & his feet & hands 2 .... He was itching his head .... Checked his head but there were no lice or dandruff .... Please help ..... Last night I rubbed lacto calamine ... Even now after giving him Head bath I rubbed lacto calamine all over his body ....for medicine I gave him Tylenol

The rashes with fever is mostly found in Chicken Pox. You need to give antiallergic and anti-viral drugs for that and mostly symptomatic treatment is followed. Other reason for rashes are Scabies which is a bacterial infection and occur all over the body. Calamine lotion can help but a proper antibacterial lotion should be applied all over the body and have to follow proper precautions like Wash every clothes with antiseptic solution before use, wash hand properly, use separate towel and cloth.
The proper decision and treatment can be planned after examining the rashes. Consult your doctor and get to a diagnosis. Continue with Tylenol and can also give some anti-allergic to reduce itching.
