Child Had Loose Motions 2-3 Times. No Fever, Temperature. We Are Out Of Station. Alternative Medicine For Diof?

My 2.5 years daughter had loose motion 2 -3 times today. No temprature or symptom of fever. As a first aid what medicine should we give. My doctor had recommended diof as a emergency option.. Currently we are out of town for holidays and unfortunately diof is not available in medical stores over here. I have only bonnizane with me now

It is very important that you hydrate the child with ORS or water with a pinch of salt and sugar. Keep giving her small amounts of fluids in frequent intervals over a long period of time.
Do not medicate her to stop passing stools. Children her age usually suffer from viral causes of diarrhea and do not need 'diof', which is antibiotic. Please hold off on that as it is not a safe drug in children.

If the diarrhea persists for over 7 days, take her to a certified pediatrician. If she shows decreased movement/ activity/ appears less alert/ drowsy take her to the emergency room for hydration.
