Child Has Pain In Ribs. X-ray Normal. Blood Work Shows Low Platelet Count. What Could Be Wrong?

Hi, I took my 5 year old daughter to the hospital today as she was sent home from school screaming in pain cause of pain in her left side rib, had an xray and came back clear, but bloods came back normal except a low platlte. got to take her to the doctors next week for a repeat in blood tests. but she is really ill at the moment and getting really worried, i have no idea what could be wrong..
