Child Have Fever. Had Bumped Forehead Against Wall And Had Intestinal Infection. What Is The Reason For Fever?

Hello doctor, my 9 month old baby bumped her forehead against a wall yesterday and the same night i found her body temp to be little high, especially her head felt very hot. Is it because of the fall? also to mention she was medicated for intestinal infection couple of days back, not completely recovered from it though. or is the fever due to infection?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Fever in your child could be a part of ongoing illness or could be a reaction to fall.
Relax, give acetaminophen as per dosage every 6 hourly till fever is above 100F.
Give plenty of fluids.
Apply ice compresses over injured area.
In case fever persist or there is lethargy/vomiting get her evaluated by pediatrician for further management.

Wishing your baby good health.
God bless..
