Child Hit Head Near The Temple, Lump On The Soft Edge By The Skull. Is Checkup Required?
Hi my 16mth old daughter hit her head on the corner of a table this evening just near her temple. Although she initially cried she was happy enough afterwards but she has a lump on the soft edge just by the skull . Its small like a pea and was reddish white. Should this be ok or do you think I should take her somewhere to be checked? Thank you

I think she has got a bruise from the bump against table.
If she doesn't have symptoms like vomiting/irritable/bleeding/inability to move arms.legs etc -- it is alright to just observe her at home.
If the size of the swelling keeps increasing, then get her checked over in Emergency department or your family physician.
Nothing to worry at this stage
