Dog scratch or bite on face is more risk for
rabies.
But as the dog is your pet dog and it is upto date for all shots including rabies vaccines, the risk is very very low.
The area of bite should be cleaned with soap water and under running water.
If the child is up to date for
tetanus toxoid vaccination, there is no need to give injection TT.
But physical examination of the wound, review of her vaccination status by your
Pediatrician is important.
Therefore I advise you to consult the Pediatrician for the further advise regarding rabies vaccination depending on his assessment of the risk.
At the same time I advise you to observe the dog for the 10 days from the bite and if you find any abnormailty, immediately consult the Pediatrician.
