Child Sick And Vomiting, Had Diarrhoea, Rash On Toes And Under Armpits. What Is Wrong?

hi my 2 and a half year old was sick with vomiting from sunday 5am intill tuesday10 am, she had diaherrea after that and it was normal, later that evening she had diaherra again and I noticed that it was pale, then this morning she had a bowel movement that was white with just a little yellow and now she has a rash on her toes, under her armpits, behind her knees and a tiny bit on her hands by her thumb. what is going on with her

Hi dear,
Probably your child is having viral infection. They are known to cause multiple symptoms like loose stools, rash sometimes eye discharge, sometimes running nose. Apply some calamine lotion and wait 24- 48 hrs. If still persists just take her to a pediatrician.

Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child seems having acute gastroenteritis which may be due to a virus.

The mainstay of treatment is to maintain hydration of the child.

Give sips of oral rehydration fluids like Pedialyte, coconut water, and lemon water.

You can give curd and yogurt.

Monitor her hydration by activity, urine output and skin turgor.

Consult your Pediatrician for further management.
