Child With Persistent Cold From Birth. Suggestions?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Nose block is a common problem in infants due to presence of small airways. As the age grows, the problem will gradually subside due to increase in the size of nasal airway due to growth. I advise you to put nasal saline drops 1 or 2 into each nostril and clear them especially before feeding and sleep. PCV is a pneumococcal vaccine and it is given to prevent infections like pneumonia, ear infection, and meningitis caused by penumococci bacteria. PCV doesn t prevent cold or nose block as they are caused by viruses. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
