Chronic Lower Back Pain, Leg Pain, Numbness, Severe Hip Brusitis Suspected. Previous Back Surgeries. Suggestions?

I have had many surgeries on my back over the past two yrs. I saw a neurosurgeon yesterday due to chronic low back pain and pain and numbness in my L leg. He found that I have severe bursitis in my L hip. I do not have pain in my hip but when he pressed on it I felt pain. I am seeing an ortho Dr. Tomorrow for an injection.Should he do an x-ray to confirm that it is bursitis?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have could be related to bursitis of hip or a disc degenerative disease. An MRI scan is the best diagnostic tool for you. Do consult an orthopedician for proper guidance.
