Chronic Pain Sufferer, Have Scoliosis, Chronic Degenerative Disc Disorder. Prescribed Diclofenac Sol, For Which Disease?

I am a chronic pain sufferer. I have scoliosis and chronis degenerative disc disorder. so, chronic pain is enevitable after the two major surgeries and all the pnuemonias andd other complications that set in during the rather long recovery period, including hospital staph. This being friday the 13 th and late, my doc called in a prescription for me. I was to pick up something unrelated so I did not call the doc. The office is closed but she prescribed diclofenac sol oral. I dont know if it is for Lupus or as an antiinflamitory or what? What is it commonly prescribed for?

Hi,
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain killer. It is commonly prescribed for mild to moderate pain. In your case your are likely to have been prescribed it as part of your pain management regimen for your chronic pain. Be sure to read the accompanying instructions before you start taking it.
