Could A Hole In The Heart By Birth Be The Cause For High TSH In A Baby?

My grandson will be 2 wks old on Monday the pediatrician called and stated his thyroid level was 2 points higher than she wants it to be he has to be retested Monday/he was also born with a hole in the bottom of his heart could this be a cause for the high tsh?

Hole in bottom of heart has no bearing on serum thyroid hormone level.
Thyroid function has to be interpreted with regards to T3,T4 and Tsh levels.
