Could Dizziness, Nausea And Jaw Pain After Head Injury Be A Cause For Concern?

My 18 year old daughter banged her head quite hard yesterday and she woke up this morning with jaw pain. This afternoon she accidentally banged her head again. She says she is not dizzy or nausea as she was early when she banged her head. Should we be doing anything.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.
Based on the symptoms, your daughter seems to have suffered only a mild head injury and there is no need to worry at present.

Headache, nausea and dizziness if they occur could indicate mild concussion.

She can be treated with medications such as ibuprofen for headache, ondansetron for nausea and betahistine for dizziness.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
