Could Increase In Vimpat Causes Diarrhea?
My 4 yr old son has epilepsy and is currently taking Lamictal and we just started him on Vimpat (liquid) about 2 weeks ago. We were giving him 1ml 2x per day and upped it to 2ml 2x per day today (eventually looking to have him on 4ml 2x per day). This evening he had pretty bad diarrhea really liquid and almost foamy. 2 days ago he was really constipated so we gave him a toddler laxative (glycerin suppository) and that helped with that issue. Is it possible that the increase in Vimpat is causing this or a combo with having given him the laxative the other day?

lamictal and vimpat use are known to have major side effect and minor side effects. in the minor side effects that may not need any medical attention, there are those who are less common like Diarrhea.
but Possible side effects of glycerin suppositories use is Diarrhea and Seek medical attention right away if it occur.
I would ask you to consult a pediatrist and I LL attribute this diarrhea to glycerin use.
