Could Sudden Bruising And Tenderness With Lump In Forearm Indicate Arthritis?

A week and a half ago I noticed my left forearm was tender close to the wrist area. When i rubbed it I noticed a knot/lump. I thought nothing of it until it bruised shortly after noticing. I haven't done anything to cause bruising etc. Now a week and a half later I noticed another tender spot further up my forearm with no lump, but about an inch in diameter bruising. I can feel another tender spot half an inch away from this one forming, and I can see bruising starting to occur. These are tender to the touch and the bruising is noticeable. Also the past year or so I have noticed my left forearm gets pain every once in a while. It feels like an arthritis pain. Any ideas what this may be? And if I were to see a doctor what kind would I see? Should I start with my family doctor?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear Sir/Madam
I have gone through your query and read your symptoms.
In my opinion, you could have infection, or other allergic symptoms, its possibility of being arthritis, is less likely as its not involving the joints, its on the forearm. Inflammatory arthritis can have symptoms like pain and stiffness in joints, stiffness on getting up in the morning etc.
I would recommend you to see your GP first.
I hope that answers your query. If you want any more clarification, contact me back.
