Could The Abdomen Pain And Black Stools Be Due To Rubired Syrup ?
Hi Doctor! My daughter is 2yrs old. Since 1 week she is complaining of stomach pain as soon as she wakes up. Last week she had her typhoid vaccination, during that time her Dr prescribed Rubired as she is anaemic. Is her stomach pain bcoz of the syrup? Also her motion is black and very smelly. Pls help...........

Yes gastritis is a side effect of iron preparation.
Do noy worry about black stools it is seen after intake of iron.
Give iorn half hour after meals and in case stomach pain continues consult your doctor.
