Hello,

Commonly, Regestrone is prescribed for unusual endometrial thickening. Chills and profuse sweating are not the side effects of Regestrone. They are indicative of an underlying undiagnosed medical condition. Your symptoms can be due to infection or hormonal fluctuations because of prolonged use of the medicine prescribed to you by your treating doctor.

It could be due to suggestive of thyroid issues, etc. Get clinically examined by your treating doctor and not to stop taking Regestrone suddenly without doctor’s advice, as it can cause hormonal rebound effects. Get all required tests and investigations done, like thyroid profile, hormonal levels, CBC, blood sugar level, etc., to rule out infection.

You will be treated accordingly. Take nutritious home-made food and take adequate water and electrolytes so that your blood pressure remains normal. Take rest; avoid stress.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
