Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dent In The Leg, Pain Where Bruised Due To Trauma. What Does This Mean?
I fell down the stairs almost four months ago and received a deep bone bruise to the shin. The doctor told me it would bruise for a long time, and although it, annoyingly, is still pretty darkly bruised and aches every now and then, I understood that. However, in the past few days I have noticed that my leg now has noticable dent where the bruise is accompanied with some additional pain I have not really felt in the past month. What does this mean?
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
can you walk painless? is there a weeping wound?
if there is significant pain, rule out fracture. bruise would not saty this long -4 months.
pl. gety evaluated by an Xray and visit an ortho doc.
keep me posted and get well soon.
