Diabetic Diagnosed With Thyroid Problem. Need To Take Medication Lifelong?

I just got my thyroid test done and I came across that mys tsh is 6.1 and t3 t4 is in desired range my age is 36 and aim diabetic also. I just want to know whether it is curable or not? Do I have to take lifelong medicines or could be after doing course of medicines I can quit. I am 5 ft 7 inch and my weight is 70. I am doing gym regularly and also controlling my blood sugar.

Dear madam,
Well looking into your problem i would like to say that thyroid problem needs lifelong treatment or transient treatment depends on the cause of your thyroid problem . If it is due to thyroiditis it can be stopped but in general cases it is to be continued long but the dose can be modified according to your TSH levels .
I advise you to visit an endocrinologist to get you dose adjusted . He will be the best person to guide you regarding this .
