Diagnosed UTI. History Of Being Treated For Thrush. Painful Urination, Brown Stringy Thing In Urine. Ideas?

I am 54 Female, was diagnosed with UTI 2 months ago, ended up no UTI, got "Thrush" did medicine for that. When an "episode" of VERY VERY painful urination comes on, I literally "cry" This last week I found brownish stringy looking thing 2 times in 1 night of over 41/2 hours of PAINFUL urination. No "Stones" Kidney nor Renal. I had a sonogram done on my Uterus, nothing. I know the "brownish/stringy think was "Blood", what the stringy things were I have no idea. Any suggestions & yes I have a Doctor appt. coming next week. Just would like too know about this. I have been "Battling" the painful urination for these last 2 months. With little help from Doc.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Painful urination could be due to urethritis( inflammation of urethra), inflammation of bladder. Few sexually transmitted infection like chlamydia or gonorrhea can also result in painful urination. If you are in menopausal stage atrophic vaginitis is one of the possible condition. As you are mentioned about about blood in urine, need to get urine test and cystoscopy done to see bladder. Get your blood sugar test done as repeated UTI are common presentation in undiagnosed Diabetes.

Hope this helps you.

Regards
