Diagnosed As Herniated L2-L3 Disc Through MRI. What Are The Non Destructive Exercises Which Can Be Performed?

Hi: I have been diagnosed thru MRI with a herniated L2-L3 disc(s). The apparent onset of the actual hernia was June 18. What are non-destructive exercises I can perform. I am 66 years old and was a high school and college wrestler and goal-keeper in soccer. Today I walked about a mile with modest pain and started doing about 150 cruncher sit-ups and 15 carefully controled push-ups. TIA

Hello,
Research and datas suggest that patients who did their exercises fared worse than patients whoose exercises were doctor monitored.
I would advise you to consult a trained physiotherapist who shall teach and guide you..
Correct posture and correct movements
exercises for strengthening of spine and lower back
low impact exercises.
Way how to bend your knees, pelvis and spine.
I hope it helps you
