Diagnosed Subarachnoid Hemorrhage. Headache After Head Injury. CT Scan Showed No Bleeding. Advice

Hi, my girlfriend was dianogies with a Subarachnoid Hemmorage. She went to the doctors 3 days after her head injury. The Neurologist took two C.T Scans. One at 2pm and one at 2am. The first scan he said shown blood. The second scan shown no different, which the doctor said it was negative and no additional bleeding. So they release her after 24hrs of evaluation. She is having these headaches since the injury. How long will these headaches last for?

Hi,
based ion the details you have given your friend is having post traumatic mild sub arachnoid haemorrhage which is producing headache

She requires short course of steroids for relief of headache secondary to chemical meningitis

Also naprosyn 250 mg whenever severe headache

Flunnarzine 5 mg at bed time, for next 2 weeks

She will be al right with medicine .It takes few days for complete recovery. However if she is symptomatic by 10 days or more CT scan to be repeated and consult Neurolgist

Hope this will help you
