Diagnosed With Rheumatic Chorea, Delayed Period. Under Penicillin. Is It A Side Effect?

One of girl had been diagnosed as Rheumatic chorea at the age of 15yrs ,after diagnosis she was under penicillin inj monthly upto 23yrs then doctor advised her to discontinue the injection penicillin as 3D ECHO showed. no abnormality ,now she is facing delayed menstruation 3to4monthly ,is this a sideeffect of penicllin?Any adverse effect on her reproductive system to be worried in her married life?

Dear Madam,

Any prolonged medicine can lead to this and even prolonged illness can result in delayed and irregular periods but still I would advise you to seek opinion of gynaecologist over this issue .
