Diagnosed With Bacterial Vaginosis. Antibiotics Prescribed. Itching And Burning In The Vagina Not Getting Cleared. Have Spotting
I was recently diagnosed with BV. My gyn gave me antibiotics to take vaginally after the meds was finish I had sex and my vagina was burning and itching really bad so I went back to my gyn and he checked again and he said it wasn't cleared properly so he gave me oral antibiotics. Now my vagina is still burning, itching,and iritated. Then my period came and its finish but am still spotting. What is going on with my vagina please help me!!!!!

Since two successive treatments have failed to clear the infection, I will suggest that a sample be taken and cultured and drugs sensitivity testing should be done. This will identify the exact germ/s and what antibiotics would be effective in eradicating it/them. I will suggest you discuss this option with your OBGYN.
