Diagnosed With Epilepsy. Grand Mal Seizures, Jerking Arms, Numbness In Large Toe. Related To Epilepsy?
Hi I was diagnosed with epilepsy 3 years ago in the past 6 months I have noticed my epilepsy is changing, before I used to get at 4 hours notice that I could have a grand mal seizure (auras), my last seizure there was no warning. Then about a week ago my arms started jerking on their own accord, I was fully conscious, now I have found that my large toe has gone numb, is this related?
Involuntary jerking of the arms without loss of consciousness is suggestive of focal motor epilepsy. So, you have two seizure types- grand mal epilepsy and focal motor epilepsy.

Diagnosed With Epilepsy. Grand Mal Seizures, Jerking Arms, Numbness In Large Toe. Related To Epilepsy?
Hi, Thank you for posting your query. One can have different seizure types. Involuntary jerking of the arms without loss of consciousness is suggestive of focal motor epilepsy. So, you have two seizure types- grand mal epilepsy and focal motor epilepsy. Numbness of great toe is unrelated to epilepsy.
