Diagnosed With Inguinal Hernia With Tissue Motion. Had A Congestive Heart Failure After An EKG. Should I Be Worried?

MY FATHER WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH AN INGUINAL HERNIA (5X4X3CM) WITH TISSUE MOTION WITH THE VALSALVA MANEUVER/DEFECT SIDE 2CM CONTAINING BOWEL AND FAT , THIS WAS ON AUGUST 31,2013. THEY HAVE BEEN TESTING HIM GOIN FROM ONE TEST TO ANOTHER, AND GIVEN SEVERAL DIFFERENT MEDICATIONS, ON WAS TOLD HE HAD CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE AFTER AN EKG TEDT, IN WHICH HE WAS HAVING AN ANXIETY ATTACK..SHOULD THEY HAVE STOPPED TESTING ?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Few tests needs to be done before operation to know fitness for surgery.

As he is having congestive heart failure, which needs emergency treatment. Test need to be done for monitoring of his condition, weather your father responding to treatment or not.
You need to give moral support to your father. Surgery for inguinal hernia can be done in later days once your father improves. Not to worry.discuss with his treating doctor regarding investigation need and use.
