Diagnosed With Pharyngitis, Stinging Pains In Neck. What It Could Be?

Hi i was diagnosed with pharyngitis but that cleared, I have stinging pains down both sides of my neck from sides of ears down to both collar bones, sometimes it stays for awhile or it comes and goes throughout the day . I m worried of what it could b as I do smoke and my job drcorating consists of a lot of movement. Can u help

Eustachian catarrh may be responsible -check with ENT doctor.
Else a neck X-ray may be needed
