I m very tense.
Hi, Your daughter of 1 year old has loose motions, vomiting, and fever, since 4 days, have cifixime, metronidazole, etc, but no use. It appears to be viral diarrhea, it is a self limiting disease, and it may take its own time for controle. More over cefixime has gastric irritation property and can increase diarrhea. I prefer ofloxacin, ornidazole combination, prebiotics, anti emitics etc for symptomatic relief, and prevention of dehydration is the main step of the treatment. if no vomitings you can give oral hehydration liquids, and if there is dehydration, I.V.fluids should be given. Thank you.
