Did My Husband Feel Dizzy And Tired Due To The Heat?

My husband is diabetic (type 2) he was out working in the yard this morning, 95 degree weather, he came in and said he was dizzy (he was sweating )approx 2 hours later we went to get something to eat, he ate with his eyes closed most of the meal and kept saying he was so tired. We just stopped by the drugstore on the way home and got checked his BP, it was 97/56, we came straight home and he is sleeping. He is diabetic and had a heart attack 3 years ago. Could this just be the heat and is the BP ok because of that or do I need to get him to a Dr?

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

Mam, Working for long in high temperatures cause huge loos of energy and fluids from body in the form of sweat. This causes dizzyness and tiredness. This also causes lowering of blood pressure. He in such situations need lot of electrolytic fluids. If he is still weak even after electrolyte restoration ten visit to doctor is necessary.

Hope this guides you.
Wishing him good health
