Difficulty Pushing Stools Out, Feeling Of Tight Muscles. Rectal Exam, X-ray Normal. Help
Hello, I had constipation, or so I thought, until I had a rectal exam and they said I'm completely clean. I even got X-rays done and I'm completely clear. However I still feel like I can't push out, it feels as if my muscle I use to poop is tight and doesn't loosen. I made an appointment with a specialist they told me to go see, but dude to the holidays, I can't get in until December 13th and I just want to make sure I'm safe to wait. I'm really nervous, please help me. Thank you

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day In the meantime till you wait for assessment by a specialist, I would suggest you the following which will definitely help 1. High fiber diet 2. Plenty of oral fluids- atleast 2 to 3 liter a day 3. Trial of laxative like Syrup Lactulose is with a try I hope it helped Wishing you a healthy life Take care Regards Dr T Shobha MBBS MD
