Dislocated Knee Put Back In Place. Can Icing, Elavation And Advil Ease The Pain?

Hi, I just dislocated my knee. I've put it back into place. what can I do to ease the pain. this is not the first time I have done this but it has been four years since the last time this has happened. Last time I slid the kneecap into place but went straight to the doctors office. I cannot get to the doctor until morning. Is icing, elevation and advil sufficient. there is some minor swelling but nothing obvious.

Hi
Is it knee joint dislocation or just knee cap.If knee joint means surgical correction is necessary bcoz your ligament should be torn.but any way you can use elastic bandaging.Advil(ibuprofen) you can use 400mg twice daily.Icing also helps relieving pain.
thanks
