Do Pain Killers Cause Mood Swings, Slurry Speech And Spelling Errors?
Hi I have a friend who has bad pmt and I feel that she takes far too many painkillers (solphodl) and she seems to have mood swings and sometimes slurs when speaking and when typing is prone to spelling errors, can the painkillers be to blame Regards Margo
Solpadol is a combination of opioid and paracetamol. It is a very effective pain killer. Gastritis, constipation, liver dysfunction and dependence are some of the side effects of the drug. Slurring of speech or spelling errors may not be caused by pain killers. Any drug dependence, central nervous system disorders affecting speech, balance or co-ordination should be ruled out.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
