Do Typhoid Tablets Or Stool Softeners Interfere With The Effectiveness Of Rigevidon Contraception?
Hi, I was wondering whether terbinafine/ lamisil, typhoid tablets or stool softeners will effect the effectiveness of Rigevidon or will another form of contraception be needed? Also is it usual not to have a period during first three months of starting Rigevidon? (am on second pack, 3 weeks taking, one week off, back on first week again.
Hi there
Thank you for writing to us.
There is no interaction between any of these medications that you mentioned and you can safely take them together and they will not reduce the effectiveness of Rigevidon.
Yes it is usual not to have a period during the first three months of starting Rigevidon. So nothing to worry about.
