Does Macrobid Causes Rash Like Side Effect?

Hi, I m taking macrobid capsules one every twelve hours I start taking them May 20th, I notice a rash behind my neck reddish I didn t know what it was I went online to read the side affects it said you can get headache s or a rash. I will stop taking them and call my doctor tomorrow and I also get headache s I hope I m doing the right thing.

Macrobid (Nitrofurantoin) is an antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections.
You seem to have developed allergic reaction to it in the form of reddish rash on your neck.
Yes you are doing right thing by stopping Macrobid. Consult your doctor for the possible use of an alternate effective but a safer antibiotic to treat the infection.
