Does Metatoprol ER And Losartan Cause Hiccups?

My husband had been taking Norvasc, Hydralazine, Lisinopril, and Clonidine for high BP. About a month ago Lisinopril and Clonidine were DC d, and replaced with Metatoprol ER (25mg), and Losartan (25 mg.). Could either of these 2 new meds be causing recurrent hiccups?

Welcome to HCM
I appreciate your concern regarding the safety of Metaprol and Losartan.

None the mentioned drugs are associated with hiccups.
However, metaprolol is known to cause difficulty in breathing in patients suffering from bronchial asthma.
Losartan is associated with production of dry cough.

Recurrent hiccups could be due to anxiety, stress and excitement.
Also seen following consumption of alcohol, carbonated soft drinks, irritation of diaphragm. etc.
You are advised to take your husband for physician's consultant as there might be some serious problems as well.

Regards.
