Does A Bruise And Swollen Painful Scrotum Require Urgent Doctor's Visit?

Yes, my 9 year old son has a very swollen, red, and painful scrotum. He started complaining a few hours ago. I took him camping over the weekend and he was playing pretty rough. there is a dark area that may be a bruise. Should I take him in to hospital or make a morning dr. appt for him?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Take him to ER immediately as it can be a testicular torsion. It should be ruled out at the earliest
