Does A Popping Sound With Pain On The Forehead A Sign Of Brain Injury?

Hi im 19 years old i was walking with my sister, and i possibly swallowed a bug while breathing since the grass had been cut, i started coughing and i heard a poping noise on the left side of my front forhead, it was like a poping sound, i want to know if i possibly popped a blood. Vessel and i should be worried, it was hurting me for a bit but i feel a bit discomfort. Should i be worried if i suffered any brain injury what so ever? Please let me know.

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

However you have nothing to worry about regarding brain injury. That popping sound was related to changes in pressure in the sinuses and the middle ear due to the coughing. Blood vessel rupture doesn't manifest with such sounds and almost always is associated with neurological vomiting and neurological deficits.

I hope to have been of help.
