Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Bactroban is an antibiotic that prevents bacteria from growing on your skin. It may be used to treat skin infections such as impetigo or a "staph" infection of the skin. Therefore, this drug will not cause staph infection. It may help to take care of your skin condition. However, if no improvement, you see a dermatologist for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
